1. I still love wood.
2. I mean I literally hugged my box of exotic wood earlier this evening; I'm pretty sure my partner thinks I'm a little insane.
3. I have a long term romantic partner.
4. Since said partner is a church organist I am now ridiculously up to my neck in the Episcopal church.
5. Updates imminent-currently slapping together a few things for the church's Bizarre Bazaar.
6. Said church is in Tulsa, Oklahoma, because I just moved away from Newark.
7. Yay! I don't live in New Jersey anymore; nobody has robbed me of $500 or participated in a drive by within 100 feet of me in the whole two weeks we've lived here! :)
8. Lots and lots of artistic pieces containing organ related things.
9. Sorry, guys, over the past two years I've made at least a few dozen miniatures and figurines for new friends/ Christmas presents/ saying goodbye presents and really haven taken pictures of any of them. Its sad; I did a really nice ebony cat lately and did some nice Foo Dogs last Christmas.
10. Love you guys.
11. Hated mlp season 3 and quit halfway through, hence lack of ponies lately, but a friend convinced me to power through and I've been binging on season 4 and 5. Quite likely ponies in the future. Also likely lots of organ-related stuff. Seriously, I know more about Messiaen and Cavaille-Coll than any non-musician should.

Organ Pipe Wall Art by xofox
Organ Pipe Wall Art
Originally thought up as a tea tray, but I never got around to handles and a glass top, and hey that looks pretty ok up on a wall, why not add a hanger? And that is the story of this. This piece was assembled from a ragtag of various pipes lying around in a church's basement (actually the sub-sub basement catacombs. Legitimately scary place. Old, rotting, one-eyed toy bunny down there that I swear comes to life and is a serial killer.) I cant remember what most of them were, the only one I can identify with certainty is the eight foot diapason-the one marked 8' Dia.

Organ Stop Keychains by xofox
Organ Stop Keychains
So, yeah, super simple, but hey, maybe you really like organ stops. Some of these are going to the church bazaar, but I'll prolly put a few up for sale or giveaway at some point. I suppose I should probably list which ones I've got sometime soon: I've got about 50 stops, so, there's quite a variety.
If you want a giant keychain with all of them; I'm sure I'd help you to pull out all the stops. immediately regrets existing

Organ Pipe Cross with Filigree by xofox
Organ Pipe Cross with Filigree
So back in New Jersey the church in which I had a small workshop (Grace Church, Newark) let me (begged me) to use some of their large collection of spare/leftover/hoarded organ pipes in art projects in order to get rid of them, with the threat that otherwise they were headed right into the dumpster. That seemed fine with me, and I'll be sharing some of the many organ related projects with you in the near future. So, if it isn't obvious, these are two pieces of metal organ pipes (made of if I remember correctly, a zinc-tin alloy-very soft) hammered flat and affixed to each other. Zoomed in you can even see the slight previous engravings of the organ maker, specifying pipe type and key. A fair number of the imminently upcoming works will be religious in nature because they are being hastily slammed together for a church-benefit bazaar. Others will just be organ stuff because seriously I have a lot of organ stuff.
Also, somebody tell me what to do with a 1x1x.3in block of ebony because I can't even describe how happy I am to be in the shop making things again. I haven't had so much fun since...well I guess since my April a couple years back when I was doing daily minis. :) Don't make it too hard; I'm still pretty rusty.

[link] Mini Derpy is FINISHED :D D'aww she so cute and extremely fragile. Whenever I show her to my friends I say,"You break her wings, you die" It's so hard to get them exactly alike at that size XP
