Well, I haven't stopped woodworking, if that makes anyone feel better. But I have relocated halfway across the country to a little apartment in Newark, and this has meant leaving behind my workshop. As you might or might not know, I've always been a machine-user when it comes to woodworking, and this move has given me the opportunity to relearn my craft from the ground up as a handcarver. The process is slow at the moment, full of mistakes, and laughably amateurish. But sooner rather than later you will begin to see some of my newer pieces begin to appear, and we can start the whole process again. Because if I am learning anything at this moment it is that life is about new beginnings.
