A Saint in Mahogany

This is neither an icon nor Saint Nicholas, given that I'm not only protestant and therefore not allowed to make actual icons and the fact that it doesn't subscribe to the correct iconic pose for Saint Nicolas per correct Orthodox conventions. But it is based on an icon of Saint Nicholas that my brother got from an actual icon-maker in Greece. Hence the crazy forehead and the book.
I don't have him anymore, having traded him for another, larger piece of mahogany from my furniture making friend Jofe (sp?) in the Massai Market here. Currently that piece is being whittled into a lion. More, better pictures and a better description later, right now I have five minutes of internet connection left.
