As the title suggests, this autumn themed, walnut and gold leaf wand is up for a free giveaway. I'm not big on pageviews and whatnot, but it seems to be a busy day for me, so I might as well post this up now so that everyone gets a chance at it. If you want a chance to win this piece, just leave a comment of any length or nature under the deviation. That's all. No strings attached. The giveaway will last until tomorrow at noon, US central time, at which point I'll number all the comments and pick one out of a hat. Then I'll send you a message letting you know you've won and asking for mailing instruction so I can get it off, and (hopefully) to you by Halloween. "But, Mikey," you say, "This wand isn't particularly magical. It isn't swirly or covered in strange and arcane symbolism. What's so magical about falling leaves, in any case? This was clearly just an excuse to not do ponies, use the lathe, and to make pretty patterns on a piece of wood." To which I respond, "Well?" Anyway, leave a comment if you want to win this, shipping is free unless you end up being in Australia or somesuch quite faraway land of exotic intrigue, in which case I'll probably just pick a new name. Sorry. US, Canada and UK I'll ship to for free.
What possible reason could you have for wanting to look at an expanded gallery? It's a stick with leaves carved in it! Oh well, you're the boss, the full gallery is here.

So, you don't even get a chance to pay for shipping, then? Whoa. (I know, gift horses, but that's a bit harsh.)
I like it, though I think it would have been nice to see some more detail to the end of the wand instead of just the rounded butt end. However, sometimes being simply is more and overall I think its a beautiful piece.
