Celtic Coin-Celtic Cross Necklace

An expedition into the realm of jewelry, I think that pieces like this are going to become a feature in my gallery, and a few should be for sale soon. It's pretty plain and a bit uneven, but hopefully I'll improve over time.
This walnut cross features a silver Celtic drachm from the 3rd-2nd century BC. It's pretty tarnished, but what can you expect from a coin over 2200 years old.

The idea originally came to me as a gift for my younger brother, a history buff about to enter a doctoral course at one of the Ivy League schools. To me that just seems so freaking cool, and he's a great kid on top of the smarts, so I wanted to do something cool for his acceptance letter. This is not that something. This is one of a couple of pieces made to make sure that that one has been practiced on, and as a Christmas gift for my dad since we lived in Scotland for a while.
