This Fluttershy Set is a piece for made variously of: Fluttershy, yellowheart Angel Bunny, holly, and the stand, pink ivory and walnut.
She's got to be one of my favorite Fluttershy pieces, with a pose after the fashion of Prancing Applejack, since it seems like a lively piece, but with adjustments to the head and leg posing to suggest skipping rather than prancing. Hopefully that comes across. I also made serious changes to the ears in the model. No longer forward facing, this pony's ears are directed outward, in what I expect will become the normal manner from now on. After I began to really enjoy this piece, I put some extra effort into little details like the cutie mark, which is the first Fluttershy to have the full butterfly instead of butterfly wings alone, and, if I say so myself, the wings are one of my better sets. Angel came out a little worse than I expected, but he's a fun addition to the set, and the pink ivory for the stand had to be ordered in for the occasion. All in all, not too shabby, although of course I'll look at it and laugh in a few months. Way of the world I suppose. This set should include a manticore eventually, though I'm still in the design/ what designs are possible stage of that one at the moment.
okay, NOW you've really done it! The pose, the details, the wings, the cutie-mark stand, the bunny? It was too hard to resist giving a critique after i noticed the work you did on the ears like you did with your 'Fennec fox piece'. It's a great effort since it gives more depth perception to the wooden figure Now if my eyes don't deceive me, I see that you made her cutiemark bigger than your other works. It fits her fine- and once again, adds depth. The cutiemark-stand is just adowabo! If ~Alovnek suggested you to do that, it was well worth it! Also the sharpness of the wings really brings the doll alive... I'm sure with a little T.L.C. , imagination (and of course magic) this figurine would soar up into the sky!
Awesome work, always progressing and keep up the amazing woodwork!
