Woo! This is Gretchen, a My Little Pony universe giraffe by done in yellowheart. She was fun to figure out, although I strayed a bit from my references when designing her spot patterns. I got a little excited and individualistic when engraving the spots and shortening the neck some to fit my wood. The jewelry was fun, although unlike my Zecora, these pieces weren't soldered. It didn't seem to make Zecora any sturdier, and was messy and burned the wood a bit, so I left it off here. And now I'm off to finish sketching some Fluttershy design and drive out to Carlsbad Caverns for labour day weekend. After that I'll be in a bit of a stall until I can get some more wood; we'll see where time takes us, shall we? Want to see more? Check out Gretchen's expanded gallery over at the My Little Woodcraft page.
Actually I have one on my list right now, although it's one of the tough ones I've been trying to figure out how to do. That and a manticore are giving me some design trouble (which is great, and some growing pains are exactly what I want to have at this point). We'll just have to see what the future brings.
a manticore?>!>! holy fudgecicle Mikey! I wish I had that kind of persuasion to push myself constantly like you! Every submission is well worth the wait! I'd wish you good luck, but It would probably jinx you
Of course you did a great job on this giraffe! Her big round nosey is cute.
now, have you ever considered doing a griffon?
Every submission is well worth the wait!
I'd wish you good luck, but It would probably jinx youBut yeah, I'm having fun with the new commissions. There are quite a few interesting new designs to try out!
