Maple Bowl Study: Flowers and Creepers

I'm afraid I rather hopped through the decorations on this one in a hurry to get to other projects. As a study, in any case, turned out pretty badly, like doing a hand study and producing a quite reasonable drawing of polydactyly. It is a serviceable bowl, but with thick walls and a heavy bottom, as well as a good deal of unevenness and a few heavy bites into the wood that I couldn't remove with a reasonable amount of sanding. But you could eat your morning yogurt out of it if you felt so inclined. (I wouldn't suggest a salad though, since the fork might chip off the lacquer, and nobody wants to eat that. But it is food-serviceable provided the finish is undamaged.)
