More lunchbreak uploading? Nah; I'm just messin'. Didn't get called in to work today so I'm free until math tutorials.

Again; I imagine these wands will show up as a Christmas giveaway at the start of December. (Unless you were planning to cosplay as Princess Celestia sometime and could personally use it; in which case just let me know, and it's yours.)

I actually turned the body of this wand some time ago, and it's just been sitting out in my "Unfinished" box because I couldn't decide what to do with it. It's black walnut, like almost all of my wands, but this particular stock was just incredibly brightly colored. On Saturday evening, I finished the cookie jar at nine-ish, but was still in the mood for woodworking. I turned out and designed a different wand, which I may or may not post later, but given that it ended up sort of awful and indelicate I wanted to do another wand.
And there this one was, so I pulled it out and decided to do something big and bright. Sunshine came to mind, and then I was like, heck, I've already done a Twilight Sparkle wand; why not, I like working with gold leaf? Plus, after the cookie jar, I wanted to work some more in bas-relief. So the handle turned into a cutie mark, and the shaft turned into a unicorn-ish thing.
This now has a sister piece, the Princess Luna Wand.

And that's that story. As always, feel free to check out the expanded gallery of this piece over at My Little Woodcraft.

Princess Celestia and My Little Pony belong to Hasbro.

Wow, I've never seen such a light-colored piece of black walnut! I think its beautiful. And your craftsmanship is amazing as always!! I especially love the sun on the handle. :heart:

This is so beautiful! All of your work is, and this is no exception. It looks like it took a lot of time and skill to get it to look so well done like that. And putting the cutie mark on there was a great idea, it really compliments the entire piece overall.

Ironically enough I was working on putting together a Princess Celestia cosplay for a convention next year. xD

Did you have a wand for the outfit already or ought I to interpret that as a request? :)

I was actually trying to draw up a wand design earlier today, and then I happened to see this while browsing through my deviation stacks. xD
So, I guess its a poor attempt at a request. ^ ^;

Well, it's free to a good home on the single condition that it actually gets played with/used in cosplay. :D
(Man, I had like three greengrocer's apostrophe's in that sentence. :O_o:)
