Time Trial Woodwork: Fluttershy

So the night before I left for China, at about 11pm, I stopped packing and headed to the workshop to make sure that I had some woodwork to leave with any friends I met. Since I knew that I needed to work quickly anyway, I decided to see how fast I could make a set of passable ponies. Now, I know these aren't up to my current standards, but the goal was that they should be done as quickly as possible while still not being scrapbook worthy, and I think that they do fall on this side of that line, despite some pretty big flaws.
The two ponies were Derpy and Fluttershy, and it doesn't make sense to ask how long each one took because they were done side by side so that I could use the same tools on both without wasting time switching bits, etc. But the pair of them took 4 hours and 27 minutes, to go from a block of wood to completely finished, including designing, which isn't too shabby if I say so myself. (Especially with the new eyes for Derpy, which I had to work out on the fly, explaining why the right eye is a bit goofy looking, and which took the last half-hour of time.)

I'm not as happy with Fluttershy as I am with Derpy, she reminds me of filly Fluttershy, which wasn't the shape I was going for, and the carving on the face looks funny. Her wings aren't as nice either. Still, she falls just this side of the scrapbook line, and she was done in quite a rush, so, eh, I'll take what I can get.
Fluttershy ended up with a young man who got the English name Jeremiah and whose Chinese name I have written in Mandarin, but don't know how to translate into English. Probably the best friend I made over there; a wonderful guy.
